There are many ways to extend your support from your home!You can help while staying in your home and promoting physical and social distancing. Our community here in Alberta, Canada need your support. Many people are still unable to avail government assistance because of their unique circumstances. Please choose an activity that most suits your interests and capacity.

  We were able to provide much needed financial assistance to community members who need help. With financial support, they were able to buy food, medicine, infant's milk, and other essential needs.
  Any amount you can share can improve our community's access to necessities. Whatever amount you can share is great for us to continue to help.
  As in the past practice, PERT will provide a public accounting of all donations. If you have questions or want more information, email us at: info@filipinosrising.ca.
  
  Any amount is valuable. You can etransfer to PERT via pertalberta@gmail.com. If you require a charitable receipt (minimum of $25), you can donate through our supporter ActionDignity’s website – please mention PERT in the message box.

  Many members of our community are in need of food and other essential daily supplies.

  If you are donating in kind, we suggest putting together a package good for one or two weeks. The following is a list of items to guide you.
  
  BREAKDOWN FOR ESSENTIAL SUPPLIES (2 weeks approximate for a family of 4; For one week - decrease quantity by half)

  
  

  • Non-Perishables Items:
  • • Rice (1 or 2 x 5 kg.)
  • • Dry beans (mung beans) 2 packs 2x400g
  • • Noodles 2 packs @ $2.50 each
  • • Canned sardines/ meat 8 pcs
  • • Soup / instant soup 8 pcs
  • • condiments: sinigang (sour soup) mix, fish sauce
  • • Coffee /tea/sugar/chocolate milk)
  • • Snacks that have longer shelf life e.g dried fruits and nuts
  • • Oil/salt/pepper
  • • Breakfast Cereal

  • Perishable items:
  • • Frozen fish
  • • Priority: Ginger, garlic, tomatoes, onion and lemon
  • • Eggs , fruits, vegetables: bokchoy, spinach, bananas, oranges, grapfruit, grapes
  • • House supplies - if necessary
  • • Shampoo/soap
  • • Dish soap (not dishwashing machine) and laundry detergents
  • • Alcohol, Cleaning/disinfectant supplies including hand sanitizer
  • • Toothpaste
  • • Others (specific to family needs)

  Note: If you can you deliver your donations, please state which area of Calgary are you willing to deliver (NW, NE, SW, SE, City-wide). If you can't deliver your donations, we will connect you to a volunteer
